Big Bang Fair Scotland 2017

Energy Skills Partnership (ESP) would like to invite your school to attend the Big Bang Fair Scotland on Tuesday 13 June at Perth College UHI .

The Fair will provide a fantastic opportunity inspire young people from schools across Scotland to consider a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) related roles. There will be a chance to have a go at virtual welding, test your head for heights with virtual reality working at heights training and see how thermal imaging is influencing how we build our world today.

Come and speak to companies and supporters from a range of backgrounds including Engineering, Construction, Food and Drink, Science, Maths and Digital who will bring STEM subjects to life with engaging interactive activities related to current jobs. 

Who will be there?

Skills Development Scotland, The Army, The Royal Navy, RAF, Scottish Gas Networks (SGN), Strathclyde University’s  Scottish Power, Morrisons Construction, Dundee and Angus College, The James Hutton Institute, The Glasgow Science Centre’s Bodyworks on Tour, Mearsk Training, West College Scotland, Borders College and AquaTerra Training plus many more!

There will also be a chance to experience a selection of STEM challenges available to schools including Tomorrow's Engineers Lego Robotics ChallengeInstitution of Civil Engineers Bridge to Schools project and GreenPower. The ‘turbo charged’ National Final of the Bloodhound Scotland Rocket Car Challenge will also be held at this event.
